YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The What: As a Manufacturing Engineer at Blackwave, you’ll operate right where innovation meets production. You’ll develop and industrialize manufacturing processes that make our lightweight, high-performance composite components truly flight-ready. From prototype to series production, you help our technology take off.

Develop and build the future: Work on the development and production of our advanced composite products — from prototype to full-scale manufacturing.
Engineer for lightness: Design components and production processes with a focus on lightweight solutions for aerospace applications.
Shape innovation: Be part of a fast, iterative development cycle and contribute your own ideas, concepts, and creativity to every stage of the process.
Scale and industrialize: Take ownership of scaling up and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and reliability in serial production.
Be the go-to expert: Support the team as a key contact for process and material topics of components, winding, fixtures, and molding tools.

Important Note: This role is focused on Manufacturing Engineering and the industrialization of our COPVs. We are not currently hiring for Software Development positions.

YOUR PROFILE

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
Initial professional experience in manufacturing processes especially winding or lightweight construction with experience with composite materials.
Strong team player mindset, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and departments.
Excellent hands-on skills and a practical, solution-oriented approach to technical challenges.
Creative, curious, and passionate about pushing the boundaries of lightweight engineering.
Excellent English language skills (at least C1), German skills appreciated

The What: Als Manufacturing Engineer bei Blackwave arbeitest du an der Schnittstelle zwischen Innovation und Produktion. Du entwickelst und industrialisierst Fertigungsprozesse, die unsere leichten, hochfesten Composite-Komponenten zum Fliegen bringen – im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Vom Prototyp bis zur Serienfertigung trägst du dazu bei, dass unsere Technologie abhebt.

Prototypen und Produkte entwickeln: Bringe Ideen vom Konzept in die Produktion und stelle einen reibungslosen Fertigungsablauf sicher.
Leichtbau-Komponenten und Prozesse entwerfen: Fokussiere dich auf innovative, gewichtsoptimierte Lösungen für Hochleistungs-Anwendungen.
Zum schnellen, iterativen Entwicklungsprozess beitragen: Bringe eigene Ideen, Konzepte und Kreativität ein, um unsere Produkte kontinuierlich zu verbessern.
Prozesse skalieren und industrialisieren: Übernehme Verantwortung für die Optimierung der Produktionsprozesse in Bezug auf Effizienz und Qualität.
Ansprechperson für Prozesse und Materialien sein: Unterstütze die Entwicklung von Bauteilen, Vorrichtungen und Werkzeugen mit praktischem Know-how.

Wichtiger Hinweis: Diese Stelle konzentriert sich auf Fertigungstechnik (Manufacturing Engineering) und die Industrialisierung von COPVs. Wir stellen derzeit keine Mitarbeiter für Softwareentwicklungs-Positionen ein.

DEIN PROFIL

Fachliches Know-how in Aerospace und Fertigung: Abgeschlossenes Studium in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Maschinenbau, Fertigungstechnik oder einem vergleichbaren Bereich.
Erfahrung in Fertigung oder Leichtbau: Praktische Kenntnisse von Prozessen und Materialien im Aerospace- oder Hochleistungs-Composite-Bereich.
Teamplayer mit ausgeprägten Kommunikationsfähigkeiten: Freude an interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit.
Hands-on und lösungsorientiert: Praktisch, proaktiv und fokussiert auf Ergebnisse.
Kreativ und technologiegetrieben: Neugierig, innovativ und leidenschaftlich für Leichtbau-Lösungen.
Exzellente Sprachkenntnisse: Sehr gute Englisch-(mind. C1) und Deutschkenntnisse (mind. B2)
