YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

At Blackwave GmbH, we develop and scale next-generation composite technologies. As a Production Engineer, you operate at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and scaling — turning innovation into reliable, repeatable production processes.

Develop, optimize, and industrialize manufacturing processes for high-performance composite components
Transfer prototypes into stable pre-series and series production
Define, analyze, and document process parameters
Collaborate closely with R&D, quality, and production teams
Identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement
Support the build-up of scalable production structures
Create work instructions, standards, and best practices

YOUR PROFILE

A completed Bachelor’s degree or higher in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with composite materials or advanced manufacturing processes
(this may include substantial practical experience through Formula Student, rocketry teams, or comparable technical projects)
Experience in manufacturing, process development, or industrialization
An analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
A strong hands-on mindset: you don’t just design processes — you actively implement and improve them
A high level of quality awareness and sense of responsibility
Motivation to build and shape things on site in a dynamic environment, rather than simply managing from a distance
English proficiency at B2 level or higher; German skills are a plus — if little or no German is available, English proficiency at C level is required

DEINE AUFGABEN

Bei Blackwave GmbH entwickeln und skalieren wir modernste Faserverbundtechnologien. Als Production Engineer ziehst du Produktionsprozesse hoch – und sorgst dafür, dass aus innovativen Ideen robuste, wiederholbare Produktionsprozesse werden.

Entwicklung, Optimierung und Industrialisierung von Produktionsprozessen für Hochleistungs-Faserverbundbauteile
Überführung von Prototypen in stabile Serien- und Vorserienprozesse
Analyse, Definition und Dokumentation von Prozessparametern
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit R&D, Qualität und Produktion
Identifikation von Engpässen, Risiken und Optimierungspotenzialen
Unterstützung beim Aufbau von Produktionsstrukturen in einem wachsenden Scale-up
Mitgestaltung von Arbeitsanweisungen, Standards und Best Practices

DEIN PROFIL

Mindestens ein erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Bachelorstudium im Bereich Produktionstechnik, Maschinenbau, Werkstofftechnik oder Ähnlichem
Mind. 2 Jahre Berufserfahrung mit Faserverbundwerkstoffen oder Hochtechnologie-Fertigungsprozessen hast du bereits gesammelt (mindestens im größerem Umfang Formula Student oder rocketry group)
Erfahrung in der Produktion, Prozessentwicklung oder Industrialisierung
Analytische, strukturierte und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise
Hands-on-Mentalität: Du denkst nicht nur Prozesse – du setzt sie auch um
Hohes Qualitäts- und Verantwortungsbewusstsein
Freude daran, in einem dynamischen Umfeld vor Ort zu gestalten statt zu verwalten
Englischkenntnisse mind. B2 Niveau, Deutschkenntnisse vorteilhaft: Wenn keine oder wenig Deutschkenntnisse vorhanden, dann Englischkenntnisse auf C-Niveau
