YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
To end COPV failure in spaceflight. The benchmark for performance, reliability and cost efficiency. Procurement is not back office. It is mission infrastructure. If our supply chain fails, missions fail. If it performs, we set new standards.
THE WHY:
You take ownership of procurement and supply chain execution and ensure availability, reliability and scalable cost structures. You don’t process orders - You build a high-performance supply system and operate with engineering precision and business awareness.
Your tasks in detail and priority:
- Ensure availability: Guarantee 98% material availability, eliminate production downtime due to material bottlenecks, coordinate forecasts with engineering and production.
→ High performance: Precision at speed. Outcome first. - Increase cost performance: Identify and realize savings potential, conduct price and contract negotiations, establish transparent cost breakdowns.
→ Accountability: Own your impact. No blind flying when it comes to costs. - Manage risks: Identify and reduce single-source risks, actively control delivery times, quality, and capacity, manage escalations in a clear and solution-oriented manner.
→ Candor: Clear communication – internally and externally. - Create structure: Establish clear purchasing and approval processes, use and further develop ERP cleanly, reduce manual sources of error.
→ High Performance: Relentless execution. - Develop suppliers: Establish A/B/C classification, conduct regular performance reviews, strengthen partnerships with strategic suppliers.
→ Togetherness: One team – even externally. - Transparency & KPI system: Build a procurement dashboard, track OTIF, lead time, and forecast accuracy, monthly reporting to management.
- Continuous improvement: Identify automation potential, challenge and improve processes, experiment, learn, become faster.
→ Playfulness: Serious about the mission. Joy in the process.
