Electrician in Automation Engineering (m/f/d)

Garching, Taufkirchen
Full-time
Permanent employee

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The What:
Build the systems that power our production.
At the core of our manufacturing, you ensure that electrical systems are not just working — but reliable, safe, and ready to scale. From documentation to wiring to commissioning, you bring systems to life.

The Why:
To end COPV failure in spaceflight. The benchmark for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Our logistics determine whether materials are in the right place at the right time. Without flow, there is no production. Without precision, there is no reliability. Without structure, there is no scaling. Logistics is the pacemaker and heart of the mission.

Your tasks in detail and priorities:
  • Design electrical systems: Create and maintain electrical documentation (e.g. in EPLAN) for control cabinets, machines, and automated systems

  • Build & wire with precision: Assemble, wire, and test control cabinets according to schematics, standards, and technical requirements

  • Bring systems to life: Support the implementation and commissioning of automation systems

  • Ensure technical integrity: Make sure all installations meet standards, are fully functional, and properly documented

  • Solve problems at the root: Analyze faults systematically and fix them sustainably — not just temporarily

  • Improve continuously: Implement changes, optimizations, and upgrades on existing systems

  • Work where it matters: Collaborate closely with engineering and production — directly on the shopfloor

YOUR PROFILE

  • Solid foundation: Completed training as an electrician, electronics technician for automation technology, or similar qualification

  • Hands-on experience: Experience in control cabinet assembly and wiring of industrial systems

  • EPLAN confidence: Ability to create and work with electrical documentation, ideally using EPLAN

  • Automation mindset: Understanding of automation systems, sensors, and actuators

  • Structured problem solving: You approach troubleshooting in systematic and reliable way

  • Quality & safety focus: Careful, structured, and safety-oriented working style

  • Ownership & drive: You take responsibility and think beyond execution

  • Language skills: Fluent in German, English is plus
